Book Review: The Shotgun Lawyer

Summary

Peter Game is a small time lawyer who takes cases that big lawyers wouldn't take. He's a divorced man, and a father who's consistently seeking time and attention from his preoccupied teenage son. With debts to pay, he's always just taking cases for the love of money, until he lands on the biggest and most critical case he has ever involved himself with: going up against Tanguich Rifles, an untouchable gun manufacturer that is backed up by the government, policians, and UGAA (Utah Gun Advocates Association). His new client, Melissa Bell who was turned down by every lawyer, is the mother of a boy who was killed during the gunshot massacre that happened in Holladay-Greenville Elementary. If Peter wins the impossible case, he will earn the largest amount of money he has ever had in his entire life. But if he loses, he will lose his entire life too.

Review

Victor Methos took me to a very interesting journey of a lawyer who doesn't possess even a little hipocrisy in his body. Peter Game is a character in this novel that will be loved by many; he's the epitome of a normal human being who has times when he's determined, times when he's weak, times when he uses his mind, and times when he uses his heart. I'm rating this 5 out of 5. This novel is just so good. I read the book in 2 days because of the ease in reading it. It's very informational and inspiring with a touch of humour. It shows how even the most hopeless situation can be turned, and the book teaches the value anyone can get from not giving up, despite the many obstacles. I recommend this to readers who love court trials. You can be rest assured that there will be no dull moment in reading this book because the author wrote very entertaining conversations, plus this novel is packed with brainpower.
