Book Review: Boy and the Seed

Summary

Boy and the Seed is a children’s book from the Thought Leader Series by Adam Khedoori. It tells the story of a boy who saw a beautiful flower in the field, and wanted to know what makes them grow. His mother said that a flower starts from a seed, and shows this by buying seeds and other things that are needed for planting. In the process of planting and growing, the boy learns how to love and nurture, and learns the value of patience.

Review

There are so many great things about this book: (1) It has beautiful and colorful illustrations that would easily capture the children’s interest, (2) It contains a simple and original idea that children can relate with, provided that teachers or parents present the story with clarity and great emphasis on the important points, (3) It offers a sense of joy by giving us a character we care about, (4) It teaches the importance of love and nurturing, as well as the value of patience, and lastly, (5) Along with the story, the book provides more information such as quotes and great people who are featured in the book, the stages of love, nurturing, and forgiveness, and many others that are best utilized inside the classroom, or in an interactive online class with a teacher. Overall, I’m giving this 5 out of 5 stars for all the great things mentioned above, and I highly recommend this high-quality educational book to children ages 3 – 12 years old.
