Book Review: Dark Matter Transit

Summary

Dark Matter Transit is a scifi adventure and the first volume to Vernon J. Yarker’s trilogy. The story revolves around Geoffrey Holder, a Royal Air Force Airman who is accidentally transported to a spaceship called Qee van Ongle (QvO). The ship travels through space by means of Dark Matter Transit and is shielded by the bulk of the moon from any possibility of detection from Earth. The ship’s mission is to observe Earth and to record its entertainment channels for their home consumption. Its existence cannot be revealed to the planet Earth, so there is no way for Geoffrey to go back. Left with no choice, he stays and joins the QvO crew, making him the only man from Earth in their planet.

Review

I’m in awe! For someone who rarely gets interested in scifi novels, this book is really, really good! I’m not one to embrace technology that much and I’m even creeped out by all those AI apps/systems being released today because they’re just straight out intrusive of this world’s normalcy, but this book has depth and meaning and theories that are believable, despite it being a work of fiction. For some reason, I feel like there are some factual truths in this book that was just crafted into a big-scale, out-of-this-world scifi adventure to leave readers questioning Earth, human race, and its creator. Overall, this was super entertaining! I highly, highly recommend it to scifi enthusiasts. Definitely giving it 5 out of 5 stars and looking forward to reading the next book!
