Summary
Dark Matter Transit 3: The Terrabot Wars is a science fiction novel by Vernon J. Yarker. An Earthman transports to the leviathan space ship called QvO which quietly studies plants and creatures on the Earth’s surface. Its current mission is to study Earth for social and historical reasons, and the mission’s secrecy hinders the Earthman to return to his world. Soon, Terrabots form a governing body based upon what they termed as 'Machine Law.’ The law dictates that assets belong to whoever can make the most and beneficial use of them. As Terrabots continue to multiply, it poses a threat to dominate the planets.
Review
Surprisingly, this was an easy read despite the scientific terms and other terminologies or explanation that were beyond my comprehension. Science is not my area of expertise, but the smooth flow of narrative and thorough descriptions of surroundings, characters, and political agenda allowed me to visualize the story. This book was so convincing that I had goosebumps imagining how Terrabots could depopulate the Earth!
I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was a dark and imaginative story depicting colonialism. Robots governed by artificial intelligence can be both fascinating and scary at the same time. They can be beneficial, but they can also be destructive. I recommend this book to sci-fi enthusiasts.
