Summary
Gospel United is a Gospel book by Betty Lee. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the four Gospel books of the New Testament, have been intertwined into one account as if the four authors had collaborated to write one book. The author arranged the scriptures according to subject matter. Therefore, not following the KJV’s chronological order of events.
Review
Some people may think that there are so many different versions of the Bible, but the truth is, there should only be one. I believe the proper word to use is translation, not version, because the message of the Bible should be the same in whatever translation. Hence, it is very critical when someone creates a streamlined Gospel book. Christian readers will definitely expect the same exact message from what they already know, and any confusion may result to criticism.
For that, I want to recognize the author’s effort and courage. Her objective is good. However, for my own peace of mind, I still prefer to read the word of the Lord as it is in the Holy Bible. Currently, I am using the Christian Standard Bible.
I’m giving this book 3 out of 5 stars. I admire the author’s dedication to spread the word of the Lord. She brought scriptures together in an effort to provide a clearer understanding of the four Gospels.
