Review
Metamorphosis is a collection of short stories by Rebecca S. Meadows. After having written two nonfiction books, memoirs to be specific, her third book, Metamorphosis is her first attempt to write fiction. And I would’ve been fooled if I hadn’t checked the blurb because I almost believed all six stories were real. But of course they were real. At least, a mix of true events plus imagination. These stories may very well serve as enlightenment that where there is faith, there is hope, and nothing lasts forever, including the grueling pain and trials. The author showed how much faith she has through these fictional stories depicting unfair treatment and injustice towards the blind. She wrote them from the heart and soul, and I felt the anger from the beginning and the confidence all throughout the narrative. Overall, I’m giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was enlightening, informative, it inculcates values, and shows the true test of faith.
