Book Review: Missed Cue

Summary

Missed Cue is a mystery detective drama by Lynn Slaughter. The story begins when Lydia Miseau, a renowned ballerina, dies during her final rehearsal of Romeo and Juliet. With no apparent cause of death. Lieutenant Caitlin O’Connor investigates the most complicated case in her career. Everyone’s saying everybody loves Lydia, but everyone close to her seems to have a motive strong enough to suspect them of murder.

Review

Told through the eyes of Lieutenant Caitlin who is battling with her own personal issues while trying to crack a challenging case in her career, this novel is about deceit, infidelity, and murder. A stimulating read! I have practically suspected everyone around Lydia, and I knew better than to suspect the most obvious. I was totally right about Caitlin’s false assumption and I’m ecstatic that my instincts didn’t fail me in the end! Overall, I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I like that it shows the gradual progress of investigation. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to readers who are into mystery and detective themes.
