Book Review: Privileged Attorneys: Las Vegas Style

Summary

Privileged Attorneys: Las Vegas Style is a legal drama fiction by Arlene Krieger. Richard, John, and Paul are the three brothers that make up the Brothers Attorneys-at-Law firm. Their lives are turned upside down when their father establishes a competition with 21 million dollars at stake, in order to choose which of his sons would inherit the company upon his retirement. With his decision to make the one who brings the most money as the head of the firm, it was the beginning of the end of Richard, John, and Paul’s brotherly love. No more lunch dates, no more weekend socializing – just work plotting the take-over of the firm.

Review

I’ve had a fun and entertaining reading experience with this book! At first, I thought it was such a ridiculous idea for a father to split the brothers apart by making them competitors. It’s never a good idea to involve money in making decisions, most especially if the family is involved, but what made the story interesting was the anticipation of who’s going to win between the three brothers. I wanted John to win, because he needed it the most, but I was satisfied with how it turned out in the end.

I’m giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. It was an emotional roller coaster with a touch of humor. Every character has a story and personal desire that pulled me into the story. If there is one thing that would’ve given this book a perfect rating, it would’ve been court action. I was expecting full-blown court action, or court drama in this story. Nevertheless, I was satisfied enough to experience a family conflict that instilled realizations into the main characters, and made them understand what’s really important in life. I recommend this to readers who want to experience a family drama with funny moments.
