Summary

Silent Cries is a memoir by Brent Seheult. The author wrote this book to share the physical, mental, and sexual abuse that he went through as a child, in hope that it could be of help to those who have been in similar circumstances.

Review

I was very shocked when I read this. I couldn’t even begin to express it in words and as of this time, I am holding back my despise for the people who have been a part of the author’s great suffering. I really want to curse at them, but there’s no need because I’m sure they will rot in hell. I’m just glad that despite everything he went through, he survived and there were good people who helped him overcome such excruciating pain.

I’m giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. I respect the author for the strength and courage in sharing his story and in coming out as a gay man. This book was so heartbreaking and almost unbearable to read, but it’s also one that you couldn’t ignore.
