Review
Silly Sam From Galapagos Land is a children’s book by Alysen Bayles. It has the characteristics of a good children’s book: meaningful illustrations, interesting story, relatable characters, a fascinating setting, and takeaways. There are lines that rhyme which is good for children’s cognitive development. It can improve memory, concentration, and thinking skills because the verses are made up of patterns. I also like the facial expressions on the illustrations. Expressive arts are good in developing a child’s imagination and creativity by interpreting or understanding the surroundings and the emotional state of the illustrations. Overall, I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to children ages 4 to 8 years old.
