Summary
The Preacher Daughter’s is an urban fiction by Fredreka Boykin. The story is inspired by her grandmother and two sisters who were daughters of a well-known preacher. It’s about party girls who got themselves involved in robberies, murder, and more from 1945 to 1973.
Review
Well, this book is indeed wild with lots of messed up incidents and music artists of the Jazz era. I couldn’t relate to any of the characters, but I would say that the story had a very lively construction of narrative; the approach was fast-paced with a very energetic tone, which was indicative of the author’s great delight in making a fiction out of her grandmother and sisters’ experiences.
I’m giving this book 3 out of 5 stars. It’s a wild story about church girls who love partying and got themselves involved with a lot of crazy happenings. I think this book is best suited for readers 18 and above who love urban fiction.
