Summary
Wind Ruler is a speculative fantasy by TC Marti and the fourth book in the Elementals of Nordica series. The story continues with Sion Zona who has been hearing a disembodied voice for months. It turns out that his new friends on Rondure know about the voice, too. Finding the owner of that voice is critical for Sion to reach Wind Ruler status so he seeks out the girl. While Sion is on his mission, Valkyrie keeps him in the dark about her critical situation. She has already escaped death twice, but she won’t be able to do that the next time danger comes to her. Valkyrie must survive long enough until Sion clears his quest and before the Third Sister collects her.
Review
This series is something I always anticipate for its magical elements and battle scenes because these are the parts that keep me most absorbed in reading. The plot is also something very intriguing and so far, I think Wind Ruler is the best because it’s more intense than ever and focuses more on Sion and Lalisa and their character development. I also got to meet the Three Sisters who are out to shape Sion’s destiny whether he likes it or not.
Overall, just like the other books in the series, I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars for its ability to evoke a myriad of emotions and provide entertainment value. As much as I love the characters’ kickass side, I also love knowing about their soft spots. It’s their inner turmoil and how they overcome their struggles that make them fascinating. This may have been the toughest to read but it’s also the best in the series. Highly recommended to readers who are into military wars, quests, and elemental magic.
