Book Review: Wormhole to Woodstock: A Midsummer's Dream

Summary

Wormhole to Woodstock: A Midsummer’s Dream is a historical sci-fi fantasy adventure by Stephen James Vitelli. Jason aka Tree Man is a music enthusiast who dreams of rock n roll, and loves spending intimate time with his high school sweetheart. But then when he receives a draft letter, his dreams are put on hold. Not wanting to go to Vietnam nor serve time in prison, he escapes and meets a girl named Daphne aka Crazy Chick. Little did they know that they were fated to save humanity, which entailed soul-travelling to the past and the future.

Review

What a rockin’ time-travel adventure this was! There's an overload of positive adjectives in my head because of the fusion of genres entwined in this story. This was categorized as historical fiction on Amazon, but when I read it, I couldn’t just settle for one genre. I believe that time-travel itself is already a genre that spans sci-fi, history, fantasy, and adventure, but this book also involves romance. My favorite part in this story was when the morphing animal spirit led them to the wormhole because it was from that point onward when I truly felt that I was no longer reading a book; I was watching a movie.

I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. This well depicted story was ingenious, informative, has witty dialogues, and fascinating characters. Overall, this was very entertaining! I highly recommend it to ALL mature readers regardless of your preferred genre. This book is a MUST-READ!
