“You Can’t Get There From Here!” by Ryan Burke is a collection of stories from the construction industry based from real events. It revolves around work practices that a newly-hired construction manager has to improve in order to expand the business into a new market.

Review

This was a good read! The author instilled lessons that can be generally applied to life itself, or any type of work. He demonstrated work scenarios with different types of employees and work practices that are hindering the company from growing. Though I learned many things from this book, there was one that really resonated with me. That a good relationship with the people around you have advantages in the future that you may never have thought about during the present time.

I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was very informative, and can serve as a self-help guide in real life situations. I highly recommend it to men and women in the highway construction industry, as well as readers who want to experience something fruitful and enlightening.
